City under 11s win tournament
Two teams from Cambridge City took part in the U11s tournament at CRC on Saturday 9 February. Both teams played fantastically well with great stamina and attitude.
City 2 featured several players making their debuts in a tournament – well done to Patrick, Stef and Alex for great effort!
City 1 have gelled really well as a team since playing together as part of the Cambridgeshire team in the Interarea competition earlier this year. They won 8 and drew 1 of their games pipping Tigers to first place on goal difference. A fantastic performance by Lillian, Alesia, Reuben and Rishi!
City under 9 tournament
We were unable to field a team, but with the help of the other teams, especially Dominic from Phoenix, we were still able to play. Alex (after just playing an hour of the U11 tournament) and Henry, really dominated their games, each scoring, playing well, and also being supportive of the the other members of their team. Lots of goals! This tournament is a friendly, so no winners or losers, just as many games as we can fit in the hour.
