City 2 and City 3 enjoyed a successful weekend. City 2 had a comfortable 18-7 victory over Tigers 3, whilst City 3 enjoyed a hard fought 12-8 victory over Vikings 2.

Report from captain Rob below:

City 3 secured their 2nd win in the last 10 days with a hard-fought victory over Vikings 2.   City opened the scoring (through Yan) before Vikings equalised.  The next 6 goals were shared, with City edging ahead each time only to be pegged back by their opponents.  City though were playing the better korfball and finally managed to edge into a 2 goal lead at half-time courtesy of goals from Daniella & Yan.

HT – 6-4

Vikings scored the first goal in the second half but that ended up being as close as they got to City in the rest of the match.  Two consecutive korfs from Flora and Yan, extended the City lead to 3 and they never looked back.  An occasional Vikings goal was either immediately responded to or responded to with kind, killing any chance they may have had to fight back.   Great to see both Flora and Anna (making her City 3 debut) impressing the scorers – a hat-trick for the former and a brace for the latter.

FT – 12-8
